WORLD BOOK DAY
Ss. Michael and Peters celebrated World Book Day on the 8th March 2018. We reorganised this super fun day because of the snow and because we all really wanted to dress up in our Favourite Character outfits and tell each other about our favourite books.
All classes took part and so did the teachers! We celebrated by holding a Parade in the halla and then having a mini disco, where we played musical statues! We had a fantastic day and well done to all those who helped out and organised it. Especially Ms. Fox and Ms. O Loughlin.
We have the Scholasic Book Fair in next week, Monday the 12th and Tuesday 13th March.

Magical Fun with the Magician January 2018
We jumped into January and the new year with a magical visit from a Magician. All classes had a fantastic day and enjoyed every second of it. From Junior Infants to Second Class, the day was utterly brilliant and all the children had a great day. What a wonderful start to 2018 and we would like to pass on our thanks to the Parents Council for organising such a magical day.
Check out our pictures below to see what we got up to!
As Christmas fast approaches and we are all getting ready and making space for Santa to visit, we would like to remind you that our Bring and Buy Sale will be held on the 2nd of February 2018. We will hold our Bring and Buy Sale in the P.E. Halls in both Sycamore and Willow buildings. It is a fantastic event for children to sort through their toys and books and a chance to develop their independence in buying and saying good bye to new and old toys. It is a brilliantly well organised event in the school that the children really enjoyed last year.
On Monday the 19th of December we are holding our Annual Christmas Raffle. There are some fantastic prizes to be won. All entries must be in my the 12th of December.
SS . Michael and Peter Choir

Fashion Show Extravaganza
On Friday 24th November SS. Michael and Peter held their All I Want For Christmas Fashion Show Extravaganza in the Arklow Bay Hotel. This event was one of our biggest fundraisers and there was an excellent turn out on the night. A huge amount of work was put in to the fantastic evening by parents, teachers, local shops, volunteers and of course, the children. The generosity and support from the local community resulted in a wonderful night. Please read below for a full list of all those who deserved a mention and massive Thank You.
Toy Box Appeal
We would like to say a huge thank you to all who took part in our Christmas Shoebox Appeal. It really is wonderful to see our school bringing Christmas Cheer to those all over the world.
We celebrated Maths Week in school this year. We had a wonderful time learning about different ways we can use maths in our daily life. We had a maths board in our school where each class could add some maths art, work, questions and games. Each class group had a chance to win a prize as they could guess how much pasta was in a container.
The Big Sing
On Friday 20th October our first class children, under the direction of Ms. Caitríona Kinsella attended the Big Sing in Glenart College. This event is part of the Arklow Youth Positive Mental Health Week Programme. We were the largest choir in attendance and our children performed a great rendition of Can’t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake. Well done to all involved.
